Burca Elevator & Metal Works Inc. is looking for a Full-Time experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee projects from planning through production, installation, and completion.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of their projects, communicates effectively, follows up consistently, and works closely with our drafting, manufacturing, warehouse, and installation teams. This is a hands-on role that requires being actively involved in day-to-day operations and ensuring that projects continue moving according to schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects from initial planning through production, installation, and completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, priorities, and deadlines.
- Coordinate daily with Drafting, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Installation teams.
- Review project drawings, specifications, measurements, materials, and other documentation to ensure requirements are clearly understood.
- Follow up on materials, fabricated components, parts, and other items required to keep projects moving.
- Monitor the production process and ensure required parts are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate installation schedules and ensure installation teams receive the necessary information, materials, drawings, and instructions before going to the jobsite.
- Identify potential delays, missing information, material shortages, or other project issues and take proactive steps to resolve them.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers, vendors, employees, contractors, and management.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and provide management with accurate project status updates.
- Maintain organized project documentation and records.
- Visit jobsites when necessary to monitor progress, verify conditions, and address project-related issues.
- Work closely with other Project Managers while maintaining full responsibility and accountability for assigned projects.
- Help ensure projects meet company expectations for quality, safety, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in metal fabrication, manufacturing, construction, elevators, architectural metals, or a related industry.
- Experience coordinating projects involving manufacturing/production and field installation is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, production coordination, and installation processes.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate issues rather than waiting for problems to occur.
- Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with production employees, installers, supervisors, customers, vendors, and management.
- Comfortable working in both an office and manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general project-management software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to jobsites when required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
