MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Burca Elevator is seeking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to optimize, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity. This role is critical in ensuring efficient fabrication processes, inventory control, team leadership, safety compliance, and on-time production delivery.

Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to maximize productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency. The Manufacturing Engineer analyzes production data, develops standard operating procedures, improves equipment utilization, and ensures manufacturing processes comply with company quality standards, safety regulations, and production schedules. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the fabrication and production of elevator manufacturing.
  • Manage the team, including scheduling, training, supervision, and performance management.
  • Ensure production deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, raw materials, and finished products.
  • Coordinate with operations department and installation teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Enforce workplace safety, OSHA compliance, and risk prevention protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and improve production processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and organization of the equipment.
  • Track production metrics, labor productivity, and material usage.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and manufacturing regulations.

Requirements:
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) – required.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and accident prevention.
  • Forklift certification (preferred).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and production specifications.
  • Physically capable of working in an industrial/warehouse environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret measurements accurately using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
  • Ability to work with fractions, decimals, and conversions between standard and metric systems.
  • Experience measuring raw materials and fabricated components to ensure precision and quality control.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional tolerances and material cutting requirements.
  • Ability to verify measurements for fabrication accuracy and inventory control.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as manufacturing engineer or industrial engineer (preferably in elevator manufacturing, metal fabrication, or construction-related industries).
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, tools, machinery, and manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of risk management, workplace safety, and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to identify operational risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
