Are you an experienced metal fabrication and manufacturing leader?

We are looking for a hands-on Fabrication & Production Manager to lead our elevator manufacturing and production operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabrication professional who understands day-to-day manufacturing process, knows how to lead people, and takes ownership of production from raw material through finished product.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in metal fabrication, welding, cutting, machining, assembly, production planning, quality control, and team leadership.

What You’ll Do
As our Fabrication & Production Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the production department and lead a team that includes welders, machinists, carpenters, and other production personnel.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead and coordinate daily fabrication and production operations.
  • Plan workloads, assign priorities, and keep projects moving according to production schedules.
  • Supervise, coach, train, and develop production employees.
  • Ensure finished products meet required specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Project Management, and Installation teams to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Monitor raw materials, inventory, material usage, and finished products.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and production specifications.
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, cuts, and fabricated components for accuracy.
  • Track productivity, labor utilization, material usage, and production performance.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse and production environment.
  • Ensure machinery, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and used safely.
  • Enforce OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and accident-prevention procedures.
  • Partner with HR on safety inspections, employee performance, coaching, training, and corrective actions.
  • Identify operational risks and implement practical corrective measures.
  • Help improve production efficiency, quality, and cost control.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who understands manufacturing beyond the office. You should be comfortable walking the production floor, reviewing measurements, inspecting work, solving problems, directing employees, and making decisions when production challenges arise.

Required qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar production environment.
  • Previous experience supervising or managing production employees.
  • Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, welding, cutting, machining, assembly, tools, and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications.
  • Strong measurement skills.
  • Ability to work accurately with fractions, decimals, standard measurements, and metric conversions.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional tolerances, material cutting requirements, and fabrication accuracy.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, OSHA requirements, accident prevention, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in an industrial, warehouse, and fabrication environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Preferred:
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience in elevator manufacturing, architectural metalwork, structural fabrication, or custom metal manufacturvements and monitoring production KPIs.
