WE’RE HIRING: CNC OPERATOR

Burca Elevator & Metal Works Inc. is looking for an experienced and dependable CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team.

We are seeking someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced steel fabrication and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC machinery according to production requirements and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and measurements.
Work with steel and other metal materials, understanding their basic characteristics and fabrication requirements.
Load materials and properly position workpieces in CNC machines.
Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine settings.
Perform basic mathematical calculations required for fabrication and machining.
Accurately work with fractions, decimals, dimensions, and measurements.
Monitor machine operations and adjust when necessary.
Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
Identify and report machine malfunctions, tooling issues, or quality concerns.
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Work closely with the fabrication and production team to meet production schedules and quality expectations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a steel or metal fabrication environment preferred.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of measurements and dimensional calculations.
Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations.
Ability to work confidently with fractions and decimals, including converting between them when necessary.
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure, including fractional measurements.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle materials associated with the position.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Competitive Pay: $25–$27/hour.
